Many theaters split their seating into "left" and "right" sections, and they often assign odd numbers to one side and even numbers to the other for organizational purposes. For example, seats 35 and 37 would be next to each other on one side, while 34 and 36 would be next to each other on the opposite side of the theater.
My theater seats don't appear to be side by side, why is that?
